Overview
Originally the first purpose-built bank in Scotland, then a prison then buried underground for 200 years, The Lost Close is a very special place in which to share some very special whiskies. The talented team will tell you how the gin-making process starts, how the industry grew and all about some of the wacky characters and intriguing stories that shaped the Scottish gin industry.
More than just a gin tasting, trace the routes of the spirit through history, sampling four spirits from throughout its progression to taste the evolution of gin. From the very first mentions of distilling in Scotland right up to the modern gin boom, you’ll be a gin expert in no time.

Participant Guidelines & Potential Fees
•Minimum age: 18 years
•Due to the age of the building, we cannot adapt it for accessible needs. Carers can attend free of charge for those who need additional help
Availability
This experience is available seven days a week at 17:00pm, 19:00pm, and 20:30pm, with option to do private sessions at other time slots on request. Exclusions may apply.
We recommend you book at least 2 weeks in advance to ensure that dates are available. All bookings are subject to availability.

Know before you go
Confirmation from Virgin Experience days will be with you within 72 hours of booking, , you will need to have your serial number and pin number at the ready, and then click on "Activate to view booking instructions".
